I've avoided telling you this.
What got you here won't get you there.
Buckle up buttercup because we’ve got A LOT to catch up on 👀
I’ve told you that my word for the year is Aligned, right?
That word has been a compass for us over and over again this year.
But here’s the thing: it’s not just about feeling aligned on a personal level, its about aligning ourselves with where God wants us to be focusing and showing up in each season.
I’ve avoided talking about this next part for weeks because well…its a decision some of you might not like lol (and also I didn’t want to speak too soon).
A few months ago we started to feel more and more impressed to lean into coaching. At the time the thought was both exciting (because this is something we’ve both wanted for so long) and it left me with questions — mainly: God, what does that mean for photography? Because we tried this once before and it didn’t go well lol. And also, I don’t want our offers or messaging to be confusing.
To which I felt God tell me clearly: Just trust me. Lean into coaching and I’ll take care of the rest.
That permission slip was so powerful for me. Anytime I started to second-guess our decisions or question whether we were doing the right thing, I’d come back to those three words:
Just trust Me.
Shortly after that God-nudge and permission slip, we created what would become our most supportive & impactful coaching offer, Your Big Shift.
We signed on two incredible business owners that we’ve had the absolute honor of working with over the past 7 weeks and it was like we hit our stride.
Both Lyndon and I have been incredibly lit up and fulfilled being able to coach and support our clients on the regular. It’s quite literally been a dream come true.
But still, there were questions on my end.
Is this really something God is asking us to do or are we making a decision for Him?
Because, if you were around last year, you may remember us trying to make a similar change in our focus (except, in hindsight, that time is was very much us-centric and not God-led).
But then one morning while I was waking up I felt God remind me of the verse, “You cannot serve two masters at once”
The verse itself specifically talks about splitting your trust between God and money, but in that moment it truly felt like God was once again reminding me to lean into coaching and to trust Him with the rest.
It felt like He was specifically telling me that it was no longer in our best interest to split our time and focus between both photography + coaching. We had to choose one (and all roads led to the latter).
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the things God will ask you to do and move forward in faith on will rarely makes sense on paper or to other people.
For the past decade we’ve become established as photographers, but that was never the end goal. It was a vehicle, a tool that God has used in more ways than I could ever have imagined at 22, sitting at my basement apartment’s kitchen table taking another leap of faith when I felt God giving me the go-ahead to turn in my 2-week notice at my current 9-5 to pursue running a business full-time (they only kept me around for a week lol).
Funny enough, as I’m typing this I just realized something else: by choosing to keep our identity as photographers, we would actually be limiting God in what He can and wants to do in us, through us, and for us.
After all, our idenitity isn’t in the things we do but in who we are in Him (something I’m still learning).
I will forever be grateful to photography for the role it has played in my life and this business. It has opened up doors I never expected or dreamt to take place.
It got us here.
It won’t get us to where we want to go next.
And I’m deeply humbled by that.
I won’t pretend to know what’s next, I’m not God. Only He knows that.
Our role is walking in faith, not by sight. One step at a time.
As Myron Golden says:
“Don’t believe it when you see it. Believe it SO you can see it.” 👏🏼
I know without a doubt that we’re onto something because He’s the one leading the way (and also the disruption that has followed our intention has been undeniable, but that’s a story for another day).
With that said, allow me to share our focus for 2025 ⬇️
“To fully lean into business coaching, deepen and widen our connections, and amplify our authority as educators & thought-leaders.”
And that starts now. ✨
I know in my heart and soul that we’re embarking on one of the most beautiful chapters yet.
And I’m so ready for it. 🥹
Black Friday Reframe & Stats You Should Know:
If you’ve been “throwing the game” (aka: giving up before you’ve even started bc you’d rather lose without trying than try really hard and lose) on your Black Friday offers, we shared this reframe on Instagram today from one of our recent coaching calls.
In the video, Lyndon mentions that most retail businesses experience the highest profits in the last quarter of the year. In fact:
Just a reminder that your offers are EXACTLY what someone else needs, and they may not know about them until you show up and talk about them.
It’s not over ‘till it’s over. 😉

LOVE NOTES 💌🥹
One of our current coaching clients recently sent us this win & it made our whole day!! When we first started working with her she was coming back from maternity leave and knew she wanted to make some adjustments in her offers and pricing. One of the first things we did was create a pricing list for her to easiliy pull from without overthinking things or under-valuing herself. Seeing how that one action step made such a difference for her is so exciting!
PS, we dive into all kinds of good stuff like this inside our coaching session!! You can schedule a free Chemistry Call here to chat more about what you’re struggling with in business right now and how we can support you. 📞✨
If you made it this far, YOU’RE AMAZING (and I have no doubt amazing things are in store for you, too). ✨
